Tom Hobby

Tom has worked 25+ years in the forestry, agriculture and biomass energy sectors, and specifically in education, farm/forest management, agricultural lending, natural resources academic research, bioenergy, and natural resources non-profit organizations. He has worked in academia as a research economist, and as a consultant focusing on forest and agricultural stewardship, innovation, and technology commercialization.He holds Master’s Degrees in Agri-Business & Agriculture from California Polytechnic University SLO , and Economics from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. He has been interviewed as a forestry expert by Canadian national and provincial media on forest fuels management, non-timber resources and bioenergy.
